Turnkey Skid-Mounted Air for Critical Operations

Case Study: Turnkey Skid-Mounted Air for Critical Operations

Industry: Mining

The Challenge

One of Australia’s largest mining companies required a large, reliable skid-mounted compressor to support lube pump operation at their Pilbara site. The compressed air system needed to be robust, easy to deploy, and capable of operating without disruption to critical plant functions. Reliability and fast commissioning were essential to avoid delays during integration into the existing facility.

The Solution

Pneumatic Engineering supplied a complete turnkey compressed air package built around an ELGi EG110 compressor. The system included an integrated dryer, air receiver, and filtration, all mounted on a single skid to streamline transport and installation. This approach ensured the unit arrived on site as a complete, ready-to-run solution.

The skid-mounted design allowed the system to be easily positioned and connected directly to the existing air line, requiring minimal on-site work. By delivering a fully integrated package, Pneumatic Engineering reduced installation complexity and eliminated the need for multiple contractors during commissioning.

Results

The system now supports the reliable operation of lube pumps critical to the site’s expansion. Factory Acceptance Testing was successfully completed prior to delivery, confirming the system met all required specifications and certifications. The client reported confidence in the system’s performance, with commissioning on site completed smoothly and without issues. This project demonstrates Pneumatic Engineering’s capability to deliver dependable, turnkey compressed air solutions for demanding mining applications.
